A Few New Recipe's

It is so important to feed our Spirit. Just like our flesh needs food to keep alive so does our Spirit. Never forget that...... Just as I feed my Spirit the good stuff (God's word) I too like to take care of this body the Lord has given me temporarily.  I am finding new ways to feed my family clean and healthy. I wanted to share these with you. I know often we think it's more expensive to eat healthy but we don't always have to eat the most expensive products out there to eat right. For instance a lot of these items I already had in my home as I pick up when I go to the store at the beginning of the week. Here is a delicious shrimp cocktail minus the jalapeƱo (kid friendly)

Below is what I made last night. A friend shared this recipe with me.
Turkey Chili  
Serves 6-8 
(1 Cup Serving)
1 lb. Lean Ground Turkey
½ a medium yellow onion
2-4 tsp minced garlic
2 tbsp. Chili powder
2 tbsp. Cumin
2 tsp. Cayenne Pepper (Caution for Heat)
1 tbsp. organic tomato paste
1 roasted red & yellow pepper cut & diced
3-4 cans of white beans no sodium
14 oz. of organic tomato puree

Seriously guys I am a single mom so I know what it's like to live on a budget, or to watch what I spend.  Each meal probably cost me 10-13 bucks
